The Horse Lover's Quotation Book: book review

I love horse quotes. They are so beautiful and calming to read, especially after a long day at the barn. One of my favorite books has to be The Horse Lover's Quotation Book. The quotes are soothing and sweet, and great to read before going to bed or travelling a long distance.

The book contains quotes divided into categories. Some of the categories are:

"A taste of freedom", "Beauty & Grace" (my personal favorite), "Bond between horse & man", "Spiritual teachers", "The healing power of horses", and many others.

I love how the book is organized which makes finding the appropriate quote easy to find. I often design computer wallpapers and if I'm looking for a quote to use, this is the book I would go to.

Having this book filled with equine quotes is not only splendid, but very convenient. I don't have to look all over the web for a quote, and I don't have to spend hours trying to find a quote that lists the writer's name. A few of my favorite quotes from the Beauty & Grace category are:

"A horse is the projection of peoples' dreams about themselves - strong, powerful, beautiful - and has the capability of giving us escape from our mundane existence." - Pam Brown.

"His neigh is like the bidding of a monarch, and his countenance enforces homage. He is indeed a horse." - William Shakespeare.

"The horses paw and prance and neigh, fillies and colts like kittens play, and dance and toss their rippled manes, shining and soft as silken skeins." - Oliver Wendell Holmes.

"The essential joy of being with horses is that it brings us in contact with the rare elements of grace, beauty, spirit, and freedom." - Sharon Ralls Lemon.

I highly recommend taking a look at this book. It has lovely quotes for any kind of rider, and I really enjoyed browsing through the Beauty & Grace category. This book also makes a really great gift for holidays or birthdays. Especially if you want to get a horse lover a gift that they will cherish, this is the perfect gift. You can order it here.
